What Is "Ropes for Riggers"?

The "Ropes for Riggers" Scholarship Fund transforms donated scrap wire rope and steel rigging into cash, which is used to fund scholarships for students pursuing careers in trades related to wire rope and rigging.

This initiative supports the next generation of skilled tradespeople who are essential to industries like construction, heavy lifting, and infrastructure development.


Who Can Apply?

High school students, postgraduate students, and individuals interested in a career in wire rope and rigging trades are eligible to apply for this scholarship.

Eligible Trades Include:

  • Certified Crane Operator and Rigger

  • Ironworker

  • Wire Rope Fabricator

  • Rigging Inspector

  • Cableway Splicing Technician

  • And more!


How It Works

  1. Donate Scrap Wire Rope and Steel Rigging: We collect scrap wire rope and damaged rigging from businesses and individuals.

  2. Recycling and Fundraising: The scrap is recycled, and the proceeds go directly into the scholarship fund.
