DRILL RIG AUXILIARY WINCH ROPES

The auxiliary winch on a drill rig is used to position piles or poles in their desired location before they are driven into the ground.

This rope operates in a "Single fall" with various types of end terminations and typically includes a headache ball and or swivel with weight to keep tension on the winch in order to maintain proper spooling. Due to the single fall and requirement of a swivel, rotation resistant ropes are typically required for this application.
